Chocolate Dream Collagen Shake

Here’s my new comfort food that’s delicious and nutritious…. the Chocolate Dream Protein Shake! 


This “indulgent” recipes offers a rich, nutty flavor with a touch of sweetness and a hint of chocolate, making it an ideal option for dessert (or any meal time when you’re craving something “sinful”.) 

Yet the nutritional facts behind this smoothie are even more scrumptious.

For starters, it contains almond butter (a heart-healthy, monounsaturated fat) and cacao nibs, a.k.a. nature’s mineral-rich chocolate chips. Toss in a couple of dates for a natural sugar kick (a dried fruit that’s packed with fiber and antioxidants), along with a few pieces of potassium-powerhouse banana. 

Lastly, two scoops of two types of protein powders: Vanilla-flavored whey—with 8 billion essential digestion-loving probiotics! And collagen, a building block for all the body’s systems that promotes stronger bones and joints. Plus, this version provides hyaluronic acid and biotin for supple skin, luscious locks and harder nails. 

If you love the taste of warm cinnamon, a good-for-your-gut spice, sprinkle some in, as well.

Yield: 1 shake



  • Add all ingredients except the ice to a high powered blender and blend until smooth. 
  • Add the ice to the blender and blend again until smooth. Add more ice if you want the smoothie thicker, and less ice to make it into a thinner consistency. 
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy.
