Toxic Thoughts are as Harmful

AS TOXIC FOODS

It seems that people tend to give more time, care and attention to picking fruits and vegetables than they do their thoughts. When we’re at the store, most of us are conscientious about picking the best produce..by touching, smelling, and making sure it doesn’t have any bruises. But when it comes to our thoughts, it seems we’re not as careful. Yet, toxic thinking is as harmful to our health as toxic food.

One of my close friends, Rev. Suzanne Grace, recently became a Minister, and one of her first sermons to the congregation was all about how to shift from toxic thinking by changing your frequency.

Freud said that neurotic thought patterns will repeat themselves with monotonous regularity throughout life unless they are changed.

So what’s your signal? What are you sending out? What are you listening to? What channel are you tuned into?

Here are more of Suzanne’s pearls of wisdom that really resonated with me from her talk

• It’s possible to change old patterns, old beliefs, old behaviors that run your life. The first step in changing is to notice what you’re noticing. Be curious about your thoughts…are you in a good mood, or pissed off…confused, or angry? Once you start noticing, you can begin shifting and create peace within yourself.

• You have a choice about what you’re feeling moment by moment in your life. But it’s your choice. No one can do it for you.

•  When you have a core belief that’s just no longer serving you, root it out and replace it with something that’s going to be supportive, expansive, and loving.

This week, pay closer attention to your thoughts, your words, your actions, your heart. What signal are you sending? What signal are you willing to send out to the world?

Thanks, Suzanne!
