Powerful Technique For Deep Sleep

Better concentration during the day and restful sleep at night…I can hear you saying, “Sign me up!” It can be yours with a simple progressive relaxation exercise, which is one of the best ways to cut stress and leave you feeling energized and full of vitality. By releasing stress and anxiety, progressive relaxation can pull you back from emotional plunges, rejuvenate your energy supply and promote a good night’s sleep.

Progressive relaxation was developed in the 1930s by American physician Edmund Jacobson as a way to help patients learn to control tension in specific muscle groups by intentionally applying tension in each group, and then releasing that pressure…similar to squeezing a stress ball. In just a few minutes, this pattern transports your body to total-body relaxation, and creates a space of peace, quiet, and positivity.

There are four stages in a progressive relaxation technique:

  1. Consciousness of tension – by becoming aware of a specific area in your body, you learn to recognize any lingering tension
  2. Tensing the muscles
  3. Releasing the tension
  4. Relaxation – become aware of the particular area of your body and recognize the absence of tension.

Progressive Relaxation is usually done by listening to a soundtrack (like the video in today’s blog) that guides you through the process. Listening to these relaxation tracks is one of my favorite techniques when I can’t sleep at night: I keep my earbuds right by the bed so I don’t even have to turn on the light.

Watch the video above, where I’ll guide you through the step-by-step process to total relaxation.

ESSENTIAL INGREDIENTS…UNBEATABLE TASTE!

Not All Protein Shakes Are Created Equal!

Read the Labels and See the Difference! Go to any health food store and you’ll see – there are a lot of protein powders out there! Even if you try to read the labels, it can be tough to navigate through the long list of unfamiliar ingredients. Here’s what I look for in a quality protein:

  •  Digestibility
  •  Quality of Whey
  •  Absorption

If the protein powder you’re using doesn’t have these characteristics, it’s a waste of time and money!
