Success One Step At A Time
My big goal for 2020 is to run a full marathon later this year! With goal setting, many times it’s easy to set a goal, and then life gets busy, chaotic, and you feeling a bit overwhelmed. To keep the momentum going, I recorded a visualization, Success One Step At A Time. Taking 10 minutes to listen to this session gives me the confidence to know that I can step out of my comfort zone, and accomplish a big goal by breaking it down to simple, doable steps…
One of the techniques to staying motivated with a goal when you feel like walking away from your commitment is to aim for an easy target and make your daily marks achievable. There’s a feeling accomplishment when you achieve your daily goals, which builds the feeling of confidence and ultimately propels you to your bigger goal.
This adventure of training for a marathon has helped me feel genuinely motivated, inspired, and empowered in a real and sustainable way…And I want you to feel that way too.
No matter what your goals are this year, remember that the first step is coming up with an action plan that inspires you and connects you to your intentions. It can be as simple as listening to this 10-minute visualization every week to help you put one foot in front of the other so you have the power to take control of your life.
Think of it as spring cleaning. You know how it is. All you started to do was straighten up your closet, but you figure…Well, as long as I’m doing this, I can’t very well leave that alone. With one mess cleaned up, that still untidy pile next to it can no longer be ignored. So one thing leads to another, leads to another, leads to another. In the same way, making small steps to achieve your goals will start a domino effect that eventually makes your overall life better.
Hopefully, this visualization will help you reinforce your intentions and start to make the changes that will make life just a little bit better.
