It’s My Birthday!
I love birthdays! Today, I’m one year older, and hopefully one year wiser. I’m ringing in 67 with a wish for vibrance, vigor, and grace throughout 2019.
Our family ritual is that no matter where we each are in the world, we synchronize our alarms and try to harmonize the birthday song on Skype in our pajamas. Another tradition that I look forward to every year is the traditional birthday video filled with pictures of our family throughout the past year.
My Favorite Birthday Fondue Recipe
This Chocolate Fondue recipe (with some fresh fruit, of course!) from the Cal-A-Vie Living Gourmet Spa Cuisine is my favorite birthday treat to relax and indulge. It tastes every bit as divine as it looks!
1/4 cup Kahlua
1/2 cup 1% milk
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 teaspoon arrowroot
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1. Combine the Kahlua, milk, honey baking coco, arrowroot and vanilla in a saucepan and mix well. Cook over medium-low heat until thickened and smooth, stirring constantly.
2. Serve warm with banans, strawberries or other fresh fruit for dipping.
