BE KIND TO YOUR FEET!

When we hear the word “muscle,” we generally think about the biceps, triceps, glutes and shoulders. But there’s an overlooked area of the body that deserves some much-needed attention…

Your feet.

Feet are the foundation of your body and your life. Whether you’re an elite athlete or an occasional walker, your feet are responsible for carrying you everywhere you go in life.

The numbers are staggering: the foot is comprised of over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments, 26 bones and 33 joints. Almost 75% of people experience an issue with foot health in their lifetime.

The first step to whole-body alignment starts in the feet.

If you’re having pain in your feet, it may be a sign of whole-body malalignment, which puts you at risk for age-related immobility as well as other illnesses in the hips and knees. Become the master of your own body and take control of your foot health!

Keeping your feet fit and feeling great starts with the toes. Check out today’s “toe dance,” a deceptively simple move to strengthen and mobilize your toes. Put on your favorite song and do the “toe dance” with me!
