Autumn is Calling…

SO IS MOTIVATION!

Real change takes time, patience, and perspective — especially when you’re reshaping something as personal as how you eat, move, or think about strength.

So let go of perfect. Aim for progress instead.

Small, consistent shifts stack up. That’s how lasting change actually works — quietly, one choice at a time, not overnight.

It’s the summer close-out! That’s right… shorter days, less light, and it’s a natural checkpoint to ask “how on earth am I going to stay motivated through the fall and winter?”

Between social media and the constant pull of everyone else’s priorities, it’s easy to lose track of your own. But your time and energy are limited — spend them on purpose.

Keep what’s working. Let go of what isn’t.

Here’s a simple three-step exercise to help you cut through the noise and get clear on what deserves your focus this season.

Make a cup of tea, take a few deep breaths, and grab a notebook or open a blank page. These three steps can genuinely shape how the rest of your year goes.

Step 1: Two Columns — What Worked, What Didn’t

Draw a line down the middle of a page. Label one side “What Worked” and the other “What Didn’t.”

Give yourself twenty honest minutes to think back over the past several months. What left you feeling energized? Who lifted you up? Add those to the “worked” column.

Now the harder list: what wore you down? The commitments that felt heavy. The habits you kept meaning to change but never did. Those go in the “didn’t work” column.

One from my own “worked” list: my morning “Holy Hour.” It’s non-negotiable. Making the bed kicks it off, then everything else follows — matcha with coconut milk, creatine, a few minutes of meditation, a walk outside for morning light, some mobility work. When I guard that hour, the whole day runs smoother. My focus is sharper, my mood is better, and things just flow.

Step 2: Ask the Question That Matters

Scan your two columns and ask yourself: which of these genuinely made me feel stronger — physically, mentally, emotionally?

And on the other side: which ones left me depleted or not quite myself?

The answers are your guide for the season ahead.

Step 3: Build In More of What Works — and Cut the Rest

This isn’t about piling on a dozen new goals. It’s about doing more of what already works for you, and letting go of what doesn’t. The key step: actually put it on your calendar.

Maybe your list shows that the Tuesday morning strength class was the highlight of your week — and you kept skipping it anyway. Book it in like a meeting you won’t cancel.

Maybe late-night scrolling kept leaving you anxious. Cut it, and swap in something that actually fills you up.

When your motivation dips — and it will, especially as the days get shorter — press play on today’s 10-minute Motivation audio. A few minutes of visualization can be exactly the reset you need to get back on track.

Sometimes all you need is a little push — what my mom used to call a “kick in the pants.” Consider today’s audio yours…. just press play below!
