What do you plan to do with your one precious life? I plan to live passionately! One of my favorite parts of living in Park City is I’m surrounded by mountains, and can easily escape into the fresh air, set my imagination free, and breathe through whatever issues are in my head. This week, I hiked to my favorite waterfall.

An unmistakable sense of peace and serenity fills my spirit when I’m serenaded by the rush of a waterfall, the rustling of leaves, and the chirping of birds. Being in nature increases my positivity and healthy state of mind. And, it reminds me that the spirit never ages.

Plus, research shows that a lively walk in the woods may give you a mental spark to keep moving. The truth is that if you don’t enjoy a workout, you’re more likely to press the snooze button instead of lacing up your shoes. Exercise can be like a shirt in your closet…if it doesn’t bring you joy, it gets thrown out. But who doesn’t enjoy a nice stroll through the great outdoors?

As much as I love tech gadgets, putting my phone away and having a mini digital detox while on a hike allows me to give my mind some breathing space and reflect on the choices I’ve made throughout the week. I look forward to those quiet moments.
