Hi Carole,

The idea behind my kettlebell solution is to allow you to train with kettlebells without hurting or straining your body. It's true that you will burn more calories with higher weights, but if you start with 25lbs or 35lbs you'll run a higher risk of injuring yourself or maybe even discourage yourself from doing the hard workout.

I would work with the lighter kettlebell weights at first. When you feel your body getting stronger and you are more comfortable with the kettlebells, move up to a higher weight.

Hope this helps!

Raizy -

You may want to try Kathy's Timesaver: Cardio Fat Burner DVD...it contains two 20 minute workouts, one of which includes a series of "Cardio Bursts"!

Also, Kathy's Slimdown Circuit DVD contains an excellent workout with 2 minute "intense intervals"!

I read recently that for kettlebell workout to be really effective, women need to work with 25-35 lbs. kettlebells. I have your kettlebell DVD and have 5 and 10 lbs. kettlebells (I'm in Canada so had to by kettlebells separately). So, using smaller kettlebells I may not be burning 1200 calories during a 60-minute workout as is reported with kettlebell workouts, however, are they effective and will these workouts help in my weight loss goals?
Thank you.

Hello,
I am going to start the fasttrack program next week and I prefer almond milk to soy milk. Is it ok to use that in my shakes?

Dear Kathy.
Absolutely....agreeable. Those simple 7 tricks are and should just be part of daily living- not just a post-holiday food binge or for a holiday dress (for women mostly). The ill-health effects become so irreversible once you've gain all that FAT and stored the CARBS. I like your article as it provides suggestions how to alter food choices. Good luck. I'll repost these in my FB account.

Love your workout videos, Kathy! I have lost 41 lbs doing kathys workouts. She has an interval workout video that I do frequently and it sure gets the heart rate up! Thanks Kathy for helping me get back to a healthy weight.
